Dr. Henrique Abrão is a gynecologist, gynecological surgeon, and one of the leading references in
neuropelveology in Brazil. With his medical and gynecology training in São Paulo, advanced training in
minimally invasive surgery, and a master's degree in France, he has dedicated the past years to specializing
in Neuropelveology and bringing a new approach to treat chronic pain in the pelvic region to the country.
Under the guidance of the founder of this field, Dr. Marc Possover, and after earning his certification as a
Master in Neuropelveology in Switzerland, Dr. Henrique returned to Brazil to take on the challenge of
diagnosing and treating patients suffering from continuous pain in the abdominal, vulvar, perineal, and leg
regions. These patients often find no success despite undergoing various gynecological treatments due to
conditions linked to the pelvic nerves, which require a distinct medical approach.
In addition to pelvic pain, Dr. Henrique is dedicated to treating pelvic floor dysfunctions and implanting
neuromodulators through videolaparoscopy (LION Procedure) for patients with spinal cord injuries or
conditions impairing pelvic nerve function.
An active member of AAGL, ISON, SOGESP, and FESBRAGO, Dr. Henrique Abrão frequently participates in
congresses as a coordinator or lecturer, focusing on neuropelveology, pain management, gynecological
surgery, endometriosis, and advanced laparoscopic techniques.
Dr. Henrique also acts as an activist in philanthropic surgical missions conducted by the University of São
Paulo (USP) in remote areas of Brazil. He was part of the team at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona during
uterine transplant initiatives, serves as an assistant physician in the PROADI-Endometriose Brasil project,
and has numerous published articles on endometriosis, neuropelveology, and artificial intelligence applied
during surgical procedures, which have been featured in renowned journals.
